Our Process

Criteria for Donation

Charities must be national or local 501(c)3 organization.

Invitation Process

The board will meet in February to propose and select charities that we wish to invite to submit an application. Each board member presents 2-3 organizations that aligns with personal philanthropic missions. The board will vote on organizations to invite to the next step.

Proposals to the Board

Chosen organizations will be invited to submit a proposal to the board as well as a grant application. Organizations can submit a written proposal or give a virtual or in-person presentation depending on location.

 

Selection Process

Board members will allocate funds for the year to each organization. Organizations will be notified by August of the gift amount.

Gift Amounts

Donations can vary based on need, proposal, and alignment with foundation’s mission. Gifts can change from year to year and are not guaranteed for more than 1 year.

If you believe your organization meets the mission of our foundation, please reach out to a board member or info@deigratiafoundation.org before February to be considered for the current year’s donation.
