Sarah Karipides, President

Sarah is originally from St. Louis but now lives in Cleveland, Ohio with her husband and two dogs. She graduated from University of Dayton in 2017 and Case Western Reserve University with her M.A. in Communication Sciences in 2021. Sarah is a speech language pathologist, and she is passionate about helping children with complex needs to develop meaningful communication. Through Dei Gratia, she hopes to support organizations that provide resources and opportunities for the autistic children and their families and promote inclusive education.

Kathryn Bauman, Treasurer

Kathryn grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and currently lives in Kansas City. Kathryn graduated from University of Dayton with a degree in accounting in 2016. She now works at KC Needlepoint where she is gets to share her love of needlepoint with others and helps to manage day to day operations at the store. Kathryn is passionate about supporting organizations who promote literacy and education as well as those who provide resources for the homeless.

Mary Simpson, Secretary

Mary is a lifelong Kansas Citian who believes in the power of community and giving back. She graduated in 2016 with a BSBA in Finance & Banking from the University of Missouri. After college, Mary embarked on a career journey including seven years in the commercial real estate sector. Today, she finds purpose in her roles at KC Needlepoint and as a Yoga Teacher. Through event planning, fundraising and spending time on various auxiliary boards, Mary fulfills her passion for supporting non-profits, particularly those serving the most vulnerable members of her community.

Peyton Bauman, Member of the Board

Peyton lives in St. Louis, Missouri but was raised in Dallas, Texas. Peyton graduated from University of Missouri in 2021 where she played collegiate soccer. She is now in the MBA program at Saint Louis University which she will complete in May 2024. Peyton is the Director of Women’s Soccer Operations at Saint Louis University where she is working with student athletes and helping build into a successful program. Peyton is interested in nutrition and sports and helping kids understand the importance and getting access to both.
